The government will consult on flexible working but there is no plan to introduce a legal right to work from home.
The government has confirmed it plans to commence a consultation which would consider whether flexible working would become the default option unless there are good reasons not to do so.
According to The Guardian, a government spokesperson has stated that this would not go as far as giving staff a legal right to work from home.
